p38 2.5d auto box dipstick

Hi all,
Hoping that someone can post a pic of where the auto box dipstick is secured in the engine compartment, as mine is tied back to the air con pipe running along the bulkhead.

It should be bolted to the engine with a bracket. They have been known to break through vibration. You can either remove it a weld repair it, or get the filler plug fitted to later versions to screw on to the sump where the dipstick tube is at present located.

Thanks Wammers,my bracket is missing although the dipstick still has the fastening tang on the end of the tube. Would i be right in assuming the bracket i am missing fitted to inlet manifold?

No bracket goes to starter bolt.
