well have got the conversion kit and so far so good, no need to worry about becm hard wired in, engine still fires off key,glow plugs come on engine starts,only prob so far is no rpm gauge yet,working on that tho.
your thoughts gentleman please. and it is a manual gearbox.
this is an early one 1995,so a little bit easier,

What a horrible combination,time is a very important thing - in my opinion best spent on more useful things.

hi could you tell me where you got the conversion kit to put the diahatsu lump in your p38 cant seem to find any body who makes them

Obviously you have been very lucky so far:rolleyes: If you are going to do an engine swap at least use a decent one, M57 for instance would be much easier and more powerful:)

Philips Engineering in Coalport Shropshire were the boys for the conversion plates for fenders but I believe that they may have stopped doing them. I think they also traded as Disco Breakers.
 
why oh why would anyone want that conversion ?? sorry if im annoying anyone here but if you are going to put a different power plant under the bonnet fit something with a bit of grunt
