Overlanding trip car recommendations

Hi all,

I am looking at doing my first overlanding trip to Morocco next spring. Currently looking for the right vehicle to buy for the trip.

At the moment i'm torn between a Range Rover Classic or a Discovery 300tdi.

Looking to spend less than £3k including off road mods

What do you recommend and why?

This is as good a start as you're ever going to get if 3k is your max budget:

That looks good for the money, but a bigger budget wouldn't hurt

Thats the one ive been looking at!!!

I actually won it last time but it didnt meet the reserve.

What would you get with a bigger budget then? Sat £5k

Just message the guy and ask him what he'd accept for it - cash.
He's obviously struggling to sell it and expectedly so at this time of the year.

Depending on how serious you are a roof tent will set you back anywhere between £600 - £1500 and that's without anything else, just for an idea on budget size
