put pics of cab, back, interior, one taken from the side, maybe areas that are prone to rust to show the state they are in. etc..

Thanks for the comments so far guys

plan to get some more pics over the weekend on there as I don't have many

as for thoughts on being overpriced, I've been looking around on ebay, autotrader etc.. thought it was pretty fair with a reserve of £2850 which is what I need for it if I'm honest

but what do ya think I'd get for it realistically?

Tax n MOT till feb, I put it in the blurb, but can't figure out how to get it all up in the item specifics (which is shocking considering I work in IT! lol)

Probably not what you want to hear, but it sounds a bit odd to me .. lots of work done recently but you're getting rid .. smells a bit fishy!

I know there's loads of possible good reasons, but that's how it reads .. why do all that work then get rid within a few months/couple of thousand miles? ... makes it read like you're trying to re-coup money that you don't really think it's worth. It'd make me look very closely at it before bidding if I lived nearby, or just skip it and look at another one.

No that's all very valid Paul and thanks for your honesty

To be honest with people here (and I will also add something to the listing) the reason I am selling is that as much fun as a defender is to drive along green lanes etc.. I've not been off the beaten track in a while and it's only used it to drive to-from work so I'm not using it for what it was built for, and I'd much rather have a regular car with all the creature comforts.

with reference to doing a load of work then deciding on selling, that's pretty much me all over :D find myself getting bored as soon as something becomes reliable, I've also got a Mk1 golf I've had for 5yrs which I've spent more time working on than driving.. recently sold a Series III for £600 with a fresh MOT, after spending that on it in parts, replacing the engine and what was a complete restoration cosmetically (all be it working on a small budget) that I drove for just 50 miles

yes.. I have no sense at all :D

We've all done it, my fixation was motorbikes, buy 'em, do 'em up, sell 'em on .. not always at a profit, but loving just working on them!!

Hope you do well with it .. ;)

Why have you listed it in "parts and accesories" and not in "cars fo sale"? You haven't stated whether it has any MOT or tax. Asking for a deposit has me off to the next one on the list straight away, as does a reserve though I know people are worried their car will sell for less than they want. You could add a "make an offer" button which might encurage people who think it's too expensive.

I don't think it's too expensive, i think someone will "buy it now" pretty quickly - it looks OK to me (i agree with all the other points but still think you'll sell it) - they are fetching this kind of money easily and it looks like you've been honest, which is a real bonus. The only weird thing is that your positive feedback score is 0%, which would make me very sceptical about buying it from you, especially if you wanted a deposit.

But if anyone was genuinely interested they can simply read the feedback where they'll find every feedback is postive.

think it's a grand over priced - and those silly shiny bits don't do it any favors - they just make it look like it's a been messed with

pictures of chassis rails and outriggers sell landies
