Opinions please, little mod on my truck.

Hello all, i know some of you may think its a bit chavy, maybe a completely useless mod, but i did it just for looks really, and it does sound quite nice with an old 2.5 td in there! i like it anyway. all opinions welcome - what do you think?

is it an intake or exhaust?

You say it sounds nice, do you mean to say it is an exhaust or a snorkle??

I think it looks alright, i mean it would look better with solid instead of the flexi pipe, but you'd be there for hours lining bits up etc to make it look nice.

hard enough as it was lining it up with flexi pipe! wouldn't want to try solid tube at all.

If it is an exhaust, you may want to make a heat shield to protect the windscreen rubber perhaps as it'll get a little toasty no doubt

i hate to be the one to say this but if that is the exhaust your landy is now illegal to us on the road!!

not illegal if you go to the right mot people. lol

just because an mot station does you a dodgy MOT does not make the vehicle road legal..... if VOSA see it they will pull yer and go through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and you will find the police won't look kindly on it either

ok im guessing you think its illegal on the roads as its too loud? it actually states that there is no actual determining noise level. just if it is excessively loud. and i know there are a load of people out there with straight through exhausts. i go to a uni that has the highest rate of police hatred against it, and not one of my mates has been pulled over for a straight through. (yet )

The noise may or may not be a problem...i'm thinking more of how much of a fire and safety risk that is!!

aye, still illegal - but they tend to have a little more style about the way they are done - whereas the OP might as well just put an advert on his back door saying pull me over i've got a iffy test cert

nope the turbo will deal with the noise, its the fact you have a hot steel pipe unguarded on on the wing and screen pillar!!
