Just MOTed the Freelander, pass, no probs. Showing 80K on the odo!
A year on and 8k miles by me and I've replaced or serviced...
2x oil filters, 2x oil, 1 each air, pollen and fuel filters, crank breather mod filter thing, stripped and cleaned EGR and removed vac pipe.
Also, VCU, as a precaution, Bell recon, inc bearings, IRD, Diff and Auto box oils drained and renewed.
Both front wishbones, as ball joints were knacked, bushes, ARB drop links and D bushes.
Fuel rail pressure sensor, gen Bosch, £80, wing mounted fuel pump, decent pattern, £60, at least as quiet as original.
N S R window mech, Almakes pattern, £50, a bit noisier than original, but ok.
Rear silencer, £30, Bosal pattern.
Repair to NS powerfold mirror, works as it should again.
Reseal roof mount aerial base.
2X headlamp bulbs, poor light due to age. 2X rear indicator bulbs, as orange laquer was dropping off.
New coolant, brake fluid, rear shoes and Track rod ends to do on Monday, MOT missed the tear on the o/s one, which I'm sure is tired as I've got the front end knock problem and it's the only thing not replaced and I know the rear shoes are "thin", lol.
Not bad I reckon, for a 9 year old car regardless of make!

Best thing about LR Owers , they are proper chuffed to bits when their car works :)

Most other brand car owners take it for granted.
