Old Man Emu or Terrafirm4x4?

Hello

I know there is a lot of threads about lifting the Defender.

But I'm still not sure what I should choose.

Option 1:
Terrafirm4x4 set: + 2" Medium Load springs and + 2" Big Bore shocks.

Option 2:
Old Man Emu set: +2" complet kit.

The old man emu kit cost about £100 more.

Looking forward to hear your experience with thees two setups.

Your right! there are hundreds of threads about this.

Just read them all and then make your mind up.

Its basically quality VS cost. Get the best you can afford is my advice.

The quality of OME is top notch.

But what are you wanting actually achieve?

Right now my defender is liftet with 1" but the shocks and one of the springs are not in the best shape.

So I have to get a new set og shocks and springs.

The only reason i want to lift the car is so that i can use the 33" tyres. And i like the look of the lifted defender.

Not sure. It was fitted when i got the car. But maybe to make room for bigger tyres

If it was me , then i will let the terrafirm have a go.... A lot of the guys from DLRK is running them i believe... Why dont you ask the same Q in the DLRK forum?

I have made a thread in the dlrk forum

I think i'll go down and have a talk with Team Bertelsen. And see what they have to say. They sell both the Old man emu and Terrafirm

The Terrafirma stuff is excellent quality.

The standard Terrafirma springs give a 1.5 inch lift anyway, so this may be the way forward? The big bore dampers are awesome. Seriously good quality heavy duty units.

If you want a contact, try Dan at Brookwells - Land Rover Parts, Accessories and Spares From Brookwells, or any other distributor who deals with Allmakes4x4.
