feel it no one uses torque wrench for that kind of job
which is fine ,he was saying he didnt have t/wrench that went lower enough and he had obviously tightened sump plug up by hand ,why dont you set t/wrench and then try by hand till you learn how it feels when bolt is correctly tightened,its a skill that someone with a vehicle should know ,you might be out without your book one day ,presumably you can do it for hose clips screws etc ,std spanners come in sizes relative to bolt torqueI do for this as I always overtighten bolts. What feels tight to one person can feel very loose to another & if it's a fragile fastening I use a torque wrench.
Just as there is generally one without a sense of humour i guess...
