Hi guys.Ive done 3000 since me last oil change and its time for some more of the slippery stuff. Do i need to do me filter as well or just the oil?KNow these v8s get a bit fussy when i comes to oil.

For what a filter costs.... Do it. IMHO.

Yeah sounds sensible enough.Just seeing if the filters last significantly longer than the oil.

Have to say it isn't something I've considered. As I said for what a filter costs to buy and the time it takes to change I'd just do it anyway.

The oil in the V8's tends to blacken fairly quickly. You are doing the right thing changing the oil regularly.
As others have written, for whats involved both time & cost wise, and for peace of mind, always replace the filter at the same time.
I personally, replace the oil & filter every 5000 and the air filter, pollen filters and clean plugs every 10000.
