Has anyone got the official Land Rover Parking Brake test procedure, over our car test (Like UK MOT) used the following:-

Decelerometer Test
If the vehicle is of a type which cannot be tested on the roller brake test machine, it should be subject to a decelerometer
test as follows:
• With the vehicle on a reasonably level road, place the decelerometer on the floor of the vehicle. Follow the manufacturer’s
instructions and set it in the zero position.
• Drive the vehicle at a speed of approximately 32km/h (20mph). Apply the parking brake and note the reading
on the decelerometer.

I always thought you MUST NEVER pull on the hand brake on while the car was moving.

I need to find in writing the official Land Rover procedure for testing the hand brake as I am working with the AA here in Ireland to have our test changed.

Has your Land Rover got a VCU on it?

If not, then this
If the vehicle is of a type which cannot be tested on the roller brake test machine, it should be subject to a decelerometer
test as follows:
Does not apply despite common belief...

My Land Rovers are both Discovery 2's so I don't have a VCU, surly Land Rover have an official recommended test for the hand brake.
