I've owned a few Series wagons, but have just taken on a SIIA Ex Military LWB truck cab in a very sorry condition. I plan to rebuild it on a new chassis to keep myself busy and for the experience. Are there any other enthusiasts in the Salisbury/Warminster area who would be willing to provide advice and guidance. If anybody has a home workshop and equipment, and wants to give me a hand in return for some free range eggs, sloe gin and the satisfaction of rescuing a vehicle let me know.

hi i have a landrover defender station wagon tdi 5, in desperate need of advice, i have a caravan and my spare wheel fouls the hichlock when connecting the caravan, is the swing away wheel carrier is the only solution??? it cant go on the bonnet as it obscures my view. advice appreciated. kim

best advise in this case is to start your own thread, not hijack someone else's :fighting2:

Come again - please explain.

Well where to start  :D

First post was after 12 o'clock ;)

Hopefully you'll find someone with a garage or shed big enough to work in fairly close to you......... I think workshop might be a bit optomistic.

I'd join a local LandRover or series II club if I were you ;)

As a previous Series owner, Shirley you must have some tools of your own and some experience spannering

You don't ask - you don't get and engine hoists are expensive to buy for a one off job. And don't call me shirley ..... (copyright Frank Dribben)
