I managed to crash my discovery last week. I did have agreed valuation insurance through Adrianflux. I made sure that I stated over the phone all mods done. It got a full refurb, galvanized chassis, running gear all brand new, loads done by a professional. Agreed valuation of 8500 pounds confirmed. Now that I'm trying to claim AXA insurance are saying that the list of modifications I stated haven't been recorded. I have proof via email that I had sent all relevant documents. I have now been hung out to dry and seriously out of pocket.

If only. Ive now been without a vehicle to get to work for 10 days now. That's the other thing. AXA are denying that Im eligible for a courtesy car.

I am sure I completed a form of all the mods on mine, which I did and for agreed value they wanted photos etc. So I did not bother.

Cheers

They never asked me to send photos listed mods was done over the phone. Sounds a lot like an advisor not understanding the process which will result in me being shafted.

Normally you have to photo all around the motor for agreed value with flux
Well nobody asked me to. I received an email confirming that they have all the documents they need. So the question is why was I not asked to provide pictures? Why did I get an email stating they were happy.

Theres “normally” a separate piece of paper you fill out & attach photos oh & an extra payment for them to process this.

glad you have the email as this will help you.

If you'd like to drop me a PM, I'd like to investigate this please.

You may find that Flux forms a kind of protection blanket for AXA, but at the end of the day they are only an agent for insurance companies, you need to get the policy number that Axa will recognise, then you can contact the CEO of Axa direct, use company's house to find names and address. Or simply phone the head office and ask the switchboard for his name.

Bloody insurance companies. I recently got a letter from Amiral saying due to changes in policy they could no longer insure my series, no explanation but it was on a multi car policy but is now the only car on it. It auto renewed every year and I wasn't keeping track of the cost. Apparently, I've been shelling out about £300 per year. Got onto compare the market and the cheapest quote was £96. The next cheapest was over £300. I've gone for the £96 quote with Lancaster Insurance, I hope I don't regret it.

Is Lancaster the company with the tame gang of Series Thieves they let access their customer database? ;)
