An old gimmer pulled out on me the other day,(100% liable) trashed his 307 but bent me front wing

Been to the French insurance agreed French body shop this morning who I don't think has seen a Landy in his life, geezer was on about straightening the wing out.

Proper not happy about some other cnut touching my baby never mind straighting a wing out that in my opinion needs at least a new outer wing !

Any thoughts ??

Cheers Jason

Well put it this way I'm not going to take it lying down and will probably insiste what ever happens that they pay me out in cash and will do the work myself !

If its a body shop, then they should know what they can and cannot do - the make of vehicle is irrelevant. If they reckon on straightening it out then so be it. If you are not happy with the result, then is the time to complain...

Don't agree !

Aluminium does'nt straighten like steel, why is the vehicle irrelevent ? how many other vehicles do you know that are made of Aluminium ??

Its a shaped piece of aluminium - I am quite sure they are capable of dealing with such. The fact that it is a shaped piece of aluminium from a land rover...is irrelevant.

I'd be getting the chassis looked at. Something took quite a hit, to be honest the damage on his car, I'd expect there to be damage to the landy. If the wing is all, then good stuff.

its a peugeot  it prob came apart from the sight of the landy aiming at it

The front "bumper" is one piece plastic - with a solid bar behind (as in photo). And yes... the washer reservoir really is where you see it... right pain in the ass when the pump fails!

No real shock as such !

Must be me then but I don't want filler

would it be filler? couldn't the bash it out? I'd imagine for the cost, it may be worth suggesting a new wing panel. Would probably be cheaper than their time for fixing the old one up (I know it's on insurance, but still)

of course it will be you bash it out as near as possible then fill to finish, unless you fit new

Dents are like scratches but with a story.......leave it as a war wound, haha, nah man, insist on a new panel, its your vehicle afterall and you gotta be happy with their repair
