Ok I cant confirm that - will bow to ur superior knowledge. Was just pointing out that the other "advice" was to check the brass springy thing behind the bulb which I dont think would have helped him much with a 3 spade terminal. If I am speaking out of turn then I will wind my neck in. Have only recently got a LR but have done a fair bit of repair works in the past on other vehicles so if I can help someone then I will...............

Why have you put " " around advice? As the gent says he's had trouble before with the copper contacts that are found in some light fixings, side lights, brakes etc...I had a landy fitted with headlights from some other thing and they too had the copper contacts...Twas only later in the thread he explained that he has the 3 point metal bulb fittings.

I was offering my opinion, advive and experience...if i'm wrong, fair enough, without seeing his landy then i'm working in the dark but still willing to offer suggestions.

If you think my "advice" is incorrect please feel free to comment constructively as i'm sure thats how you yourself would expect to be treated.

If you're ever in Denmark feel free to drop by, i'll set the dogs on you...:D

where/who gave wrong advise ?

Apparently i did. I offered a bit of general advice to check electric contacts without knowing the precise make, manufacturer, model or part number.... Silly me, next time i will ask for photographic evidence and a copy of the vehicle reg document.

Beat me on the bum with a piece of willow.

Next time I'm in Denmark will avoid u - never bin there n have no plans to so think I might sleep ok tonight - tosser. Find something worth doing that someone else might enjoy

Look, people give and recieve advice here all the time, on occasion we are wrong, occasionally we are right. But most problems are trial and error, i was pointing out my experience...i really dont think i need to apologise for that. However if i disagree with someones advice i do not point it out to them in the way you have...thats whats given me the hump...and who says that you are right with your advice?

I don't care who was right and who was wrong. People gave 'their' opinions. Sometimes it helps to fix a problem, sometimes it doesn't. At the end of the day it's advice. That means take it or leave it. If you don't think a certain bit of advice applies to you or your vehicle then ignore it. If you think it does apply then go check it out. 2 vehicles can have what appear to be the exact same fault. In truth it may really be 2 different faults with the same symptoms.

The guy that's asking the advice - apart from that nobody except me. So were u right or was I?

Well, my GUESS as to the reason for his electric problems from 800 miles away without seeing the vehicle was wrong.

As he still has the problem then i cant see that your advice helped either.

However if it makes you feel warm and fuzzy...you were right, you are always right, i throw myself at your feet and worship, oh God of Land Rovers. I bet you satisfy the ladies too......
