Hi all,

found the site through a google search on a particular problem I'm having with a 2011 Range Rover Vogue.
It's putting out a low battery warning, telling us to start the engine..
The garage have had the RR on 3 occasions, most recently on Saturday when we were told with confidence that its fixed now, after a new battery and numerous software updates!

Well it happened again today and kicked off the electrics! Its in the hands on Land Rover again, we're at the point where its getting very serious very quickly now, so hopefully we'll get a good outcome tomorrow before the sh*t hits the preverbal fan!

Anyway, I'd appreciate if anyone who's had the issue or has any ideas could help out!!

Thanks in advance lads and ladies!

Brian

Take the fooker to the dealer and tell him to get it sorted.. If I'd bought a £50k motor I wouldn't be trying to sort it out. That's what the warranty is for..

Its been 3 times! Im not trying to sort it outside of the dealers, but its best to get advice from enthusiasts. The dealers are getting it back, but we'll possibly be pushing for a new shiny motor or cash back under the consumers act!

To add to the conundrum, there was a fairly hefty accident in it in the meantime, whereby the handbrake disengaged (itself), and sprinted across a car park, more or less demolishing two cars!

Not saying this was the fault of the RR, but theres something that doesn't add up for me!

Heres a picture of the warning!

EDIT: £50k, I wish- Add the Exchange rate- then the illegal VRT charge the government charge and get that closer to £85k in Ireland:jaw:

Get the alternator checked. This could be dragging your battery down also if it's output is not 'clean' it can affect the electronics. Having heard the price of these I wouldn't be surprised if your garage is avoiding it and praying.

Cheers, they've got it back and looked at it, now all of a sudden the battery warning light is a normal feature! Not one little bit happy at the way it's been handled.
