newbie saying hi

hi peeps

im stu, and i bought the overpriced p38 in the forsale section

in my first month of ownership, ive had to have

becm replace
rear brakepipes replaced
windscreen replaced and rear exhaust section replaced

all to the till ringing sound of £1500

ok,so i know the bad stuffs been sorted but im tempted to move on,as if this is what rr ownership costs everymonth then its not for me

i love the car when its going right, and i wish this first post was a more positive one, but ive just been stung with the bill for the last 4 so not too happy

someone give me some hope please

i poped on here a few times, but it seemed dead, so wentover to the other club, but there doesnt seem to be much life on there tbh, i got pm'd buy a vaux guy saying to come over here, so here i am
ive been looking for a decent one for ages, and this seemed to fit the bill of what i was looking for...new as poss for the money, full service, well looked after...the usual stuff u do when u buy a car, just wish the cock had been honest with me that the car was fooked and my rear end was gonna get de-sphynctred(s.p)

my dads just taken it off me to get MOT'd 2morro , well retested, how the hell the tester didnt see the 8" hole in the exhaust i dont know...but saying that, there may not have been a hole and the garage have done me over??
i know i wont be using them again, im not affraid of getting my hands dirty...i play with vauxhalls so know my arse from my elbow i think.

ive been getting all cooo ey over a lr for having fun withand binning the rangey, i want a sport but waiting for the funds to allow....now at nothing due to the above repairs haha

i know if i keep it ill be in the WANTED or HELP sections regularly....

:welcome2: shame you've had such a bad experience of the wonderful world of landys so far mind you there isn't a siongle landy on the planet that hasn't caused it's owner moments close to bankruptcy and despair lol so we feel your pain

That's a pity, there's a fair few optimists on here as regards the value of their scrap. Hopefully you're all sorted now & have years of good service. I know exactly what you mean about wishing sellers were honest.
