Hi all, i changed a starter on my mates P38 4.6 vogue-(P plate), after 15 minutes trying to get at top bolt, i decided to peer behind wheel arch liner and could see and get at bolt easily, so top tip if you are struggling, take out wheel arch liner...............simples!!
However! needed to change batteries in key fob as the message kept coming up saying key battery low, so changed them, along with seal, buttons and new back, and hey presto it doesn't work......surprise. I can get in car using EKA code and start engine, however need to do this every time. Got no red light on remote and tried as per handbook to re-sync key, no luck.Have check batts in correct etc.
Please help, mate only had car a few days and has been broken down more than running............i know, situation normal!! Cheers all:confused::confused:

When pressing the buttos, if you get no red light, then they don't work....so trying to re-sync will do nothing, as it isn't powered.

I would take a look at the battery cover and ensure the contacts are making contact.

Ill say the same, sometimes the thin metal tab under the batterys gets pressed down too far and the other problem ive noticed is making the screw down lid line up. i have spent 1/2hr before getting it right. :)
