Hi all,

Just registered, so heres an introductory post. Wanted a landy for YEARS - came close a couple of times, but never had enough money to buy anything that wasn't a risky investment. Came into some money recently, so am just waiting for my new baby to come back from the paintshop. She's a '95 110 Hardtop, with the 300Tdi. She'll be bright red (white roof and wheels) when finished, and will be daily transport, as well as being used to transport my paintball team, and when fishing, plus a little greenlaning around Basingtoke and hampshire.
Any suggestions for places to go, or clubs to join around the area, greatly appreciated!

:welcome2: to landy ownership, used to play years ago but gave up when h&s started messing with the rules of balling.

put some piccies of the 110 up when you get them we likes piccies on here ;)

theres a greenlaning section you might want to check out further down the forum and you should be able to find some local trips in your area. If your new to laning mad had man runs a noobies run now and again but dont know how local they are to you.

Don't mind a few scratches - all adds character (rather than just looking a wreck like the Omega I just got rid of!!)

Anyways, she's been collected, and done the jaunt to work and back several times now - and I'm in love. Wanted a Landy since I was about 8 (I'm now 34) and I'm grinning like a loon permanently....

.

You can still have plenty of fun balling - and I'll bet it's changed a bit since you played (I played in the mid nineties, then had ten years off and came back to find it's all changed beyond recognition!)

It looks great Kevin. How exciting has your first purchase been? Can't wait for mine.

Got any pictures of the interior and some more history?

PS - did some paint balling in the early 90s with some fellas from work. Got badly grazed with an exploding pinkie on the hand once and vowed I'd never get a paint ball in the face after that. Is it any safer?

Mssively excited still - just spent six hours cleaning the battery compartment and re-painting, cleaning the engine bay out, sorting some little niggles like a corrded interior light and stuff. Unlike my old Vauxhall, I enjoyed doing it too!

Balling is very safe - paintballs still sting a bit, especially on bare skin, but masks are incredible nowadsys and the safety record is better than any sports (horseriding and fishing are actually the most dangerous nowadays!) You do get a few bruises, but the reason I look so fat in the pic is the padding underneath the kit ;)
