Well after looking at some real rotten sheds, i finally found a nice 04 es premium. Solid chassis, no warning lights on and great bodywork.

A few issues i could do with help tho.
Parking sensors dont work, select reverse and i get no audible sound, and the light flashes on the switch.

Gear crunches into 2nd, but if i change slowly its fine, but it crunches into 1st, even at standstill. Also the gear lever doesnt centralise, it falls to the left.

Anway here she is

Also i get power surges, i was told it had been tuned, and it does go well. But if i floor it i get blocks of flat acceleration. If i feather the throttle its seems to be fine

EKA code?

That would account for it not centralising but not the crunching?

EKA code is the security entry code by putting the key into the drivers door lock & turning it in a sequence of times
to gain entry when the remote button is lost or battery is flat...…………..

Crunching is a common problem on these boxes try changing slower into gear they don't drive
like cars or double clutch ;)

Check out @neilly's excellent piece, including the attachments at:-

Very often many of the gearbox problems can be sorted by doing an oil change in the gearbox. The Td5 gearbox can be a bit touchy about its oil.

The reversing alarm having a flashing tell-tale light on the switch usually suggests that the PDC ECU is faulty. It's a straightforward plug-n-play replacement. The ECU can be found behind the trim just inside the rear tailgate on the passenger's side of the vehicle.

Thanks for all the advice

I bought a new speaker for the pdc, and now they are working perfect.

As for power surges, i cleaned the map sensor which improved things, freed up the wastegate which wasnt too bad but needed doing, then disconnected the maf and she flies. It has been mapped or chipped not sure by who though. Anyway i do sometimes get a slight miss if i floor it now. I hope its just because maf is disconnected and when i fit a new one it will sort that problem
