need more power

have an N reg disco starts first time but not much power till turbo kicks in at about 2000 revs , this is a pain at junctions with a trailer loaded takes a while to get going again . thought it mite be throtle senser, turbo seems to work . any idea lads and lasses

V8 ? They have plenty of power!

It's difficult to tell from your description if there is something wrong, or it's a normal diesel disco.

More details would be good i.e. what Disco have you got? but as a starter check your air filter, they get clogged up pretty quickly.

sounds like standard turbo lag to me.Nearly all turboed cars got it.
