need help to identify part

hi every one and hope you all had a good crimbo. any way i have just brought a 1997 discovery 3.9v8 on lpg. now while looking under the bonnet i saw a vaccume pipe floating about so i traced it back to a vaccume unit just below the vaccume unit for the cruise control. it has a solid pipe comming off the one side and heading off in the drivers direction and the other side of this vaccume unit is the floating rubber hose i dont know what this part is for and cant see were the hose fits. just above it is the vaccume unit to the cruise control and that is all piped up so any ideas what this one does or were the pipe might fit.please

hi i have now identified the part its called fuel pressure regulator. but the rubber vaccume hose which comes off the other side of the vaccume goes no were so i now need to know were this is suppose to fit onto.or can i fit this into the vaccume hose that goes to the distributor.
