For starters, hello and apologies if I'm covering regularly asked questions.

I've discovered the lovely wikilocs app and its routes for this area and fancy have a crack at some of the routes in 5 weeks time when we're camping in area.

I was trying to find some background info, such as permissions and degrees of difficulty (I've done a bit before but nothing too hairy or requiring anything more than commonsense and a well found vehicle).

I'll be doing this is '05 110 which I'd prefer to keep in the good nick that it currently is in :)

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

TIA
Chris

In general you can go on all tracks etc as long as there is no sign stateing otherwise! Tracks in Northern Spain are Policed and they are very strict about no wild camping in the "Bardanas" for example and limits to how may vehicles in a group.

You should'nt find any real difficulties !

Enjoy, a stunning part of the world.
Great campsites at Ainsa, Spain, and Saint Jean Pied de Port, France. The Smugglers route out of Andorra/Spain is excellent, about 25/30mls on dirt/hard surface.
safe travels, Mark

A late bit of feedback for you. We had a great trip. We found two stunning trails.

One in the Picos de Europa behind Llanes, it's on wikiloc as 4x4 trail a 66 mile circuit that had 15 miles of mountain off roading on a dirt trail across a high col.

The other was in the French Pyrennes on a trail behind Vernet les Baines. A 25 km ascent to nearly the top of a 2200m hill. A fair part is on narrow tracks cut out of the hill. The views and driving exhilarating.
