Hi all, strange topic I know but I have just bought a 110 td5. I fitted my wheel spacers this evening then went out, and as I was driving there was a metallic 'ping' sound, followed by something hitting the underneath, then I heard something metal bouncing down the road (window open) past me. I limped into a side street thinking it was a wheelnut come loose, but they're all there! No loose/missing bolts from the prop either, what else could it be? It's too dark to have a proper look I'll investigate in the morning! Any ideas where to look? Thanks!

have you checked spacer nuts my mrs kept complaing after i had fitted spacers to fit p38 wheel on my disco1 ,and at the week end while going out as a family just going over brow of hill i heard it then saw front wheel bouncing down road across a dyke and across a field the noise was spacer nuts coming off eventually refitted wheel and went home only wore a flat on brake disc ,i would check spacer nuts on passenger side as drivers usually self tigthening in any case locktite spacer nuts

It could just be coincidence and you simply flicked summit up from the road surface.

Ok mate I'll check them thanks, I'm beginning to think/hope I just run something over and it flicked up off my wheel and hit the underside, I'll investigate tomorrow for piece of mind lol, thanks!

All four wheels still on :p ;)

No idea mate, until you get a good look at what you've put on in the daylight we could be here all week trying to guess what it was...
