Great pics !!, in that 3rd pic it looks like your back tyre is smaller than the front, must be an optical illusion cos in all the other pics they look the same....or maybe I should've gone to Spec Savers

I'm getting rid of them once I get home - they are 215/60 R16's and one of them needs replacing, so I need 4. No...... I need 5.

Thinking of 215/75 R16 with some winter rubber on them.

For my summer Evolution wheels thinking of some 235/65R17's with some AT tyres. Possibly General Grabber AT

Errrr...... Alveston Red....... Took me a while to work that out. I thought the same when I bought it.

Today has been the best yet, weather wise. It has been pretty still and sunny with temperatures up to 17C according to the car.

Now on to the fun part......


This remap is great. Whereas before I thought it had nothing at the top end, ie above 2500.

Well, today I overtook several vehicles using 3rd gear in steptronic. Very happy with the performance. I think my perception was wrong because of two things -strong winds and rain, and the engine after about 1500 miles, has adapted to the new settings.

I seem to be getting a fairly consistent average of 40mpg approx according to the Scanguage 2 now, on most longer journeys, which I'm happy with, seeing as most of the roads are national speed limits, and it is very hilly around here.

No. They stopped doing Rimini. Alveston in my '06 brochure.

I think you are right. I think I may have got it the wrong way round and mine is the Rimini Red. Not being at home it is difficult to check, but having looked elsewhere, I think it is Rimini Red.

I like it anyway

It also has the Alpaca perforated leather interior.

Just got back to the very busy big smoke from my trip up to the Isle of Skye.

First week was predominantly wet, the second week was lovely and warm.

We drove the Freelander over 2000 miles and did 33mpg going up in the wet & stormy weather, but coming back she did 37mpg across the highlands and 41.7mpg down the motorway. The car was filled to window level and had 2 bikes on a bike carrier hanging off a towball. I'm very happy.
