Hi, fairly recent owner of a 2010 FL2 TD4 HSE with 180k on the clock, fitted with black leather electric and heated seats. The old bus has been reliable and practical so far but I am really struggling with back pain on longer journey's. My partner has also commented that she doesn't find the seats very comfortable so it's not just me. I have fiddled with the position so much but running out of ideas. Just wondered if anyone has experienced the same issue and if you had a solution? I don't want to change the car as we have both grown fond of it but we frequently do long journey's in it so being comfortable is important. Appreciate any advice, cheers!

have you adjusted the lumbar position to support your back

I've always found Freelander seats incredibly comfortable, Freelander 2 seats especially so. I find the seats in our year old Hyundai Ioniq 5 to be less comfortable than the Freelander.

Maybe your back muscle core is conditioned. Sometimes softer seating can allow the tense muscle core to stretch further than previous. Like pulling on a elastic band a little more than normal. You are expecting the same comfort but you are stretching a little more.
