Hi, I have an ex-army 1985 110 2.5n/a diesel.

Its a rough looking beast but runs ok.

Its due an mot soon and was wondering if anyone can recommend a place to get it done in or around stevenage, herts.

The hazards dont work and i have also had to screw in a plate on the drivers side footwell as original had rotted through. (is a screwed down plate ok for mot?)

The outer casings on the rear shocks have corroded. is that ok for mot?

Any advice is good.

He works out the back of a series 1, he'll do everything if that's what you want. Send me a PM with your email and I'll send you his number.

footwell should be fine, mine are both bolted in for ease of getting them out the way and draining water!!

not sure on the rust on the casing of the shocks though, i know you hazards will need to work

I know often hazard failure can be just due to the switch. I know that was the case with mine as im often smacking it with my knee getting in and out. If its not visibly damaged its worth taking 10 mins just to take it out and make sure the contacts are as they should be.
