Just got my Disco back from the garage.

NSR disc brake contaminated with oil (from when I changed the seals and bearings, just needs some cleaning)
NSF wheel bearing excessive play (this is one I did - must have bedded in!)
OSF wheel bearing excessive play (never touched this one! Maybe it needs replacing? Might just tighten the fecker up)
NSR wheel bearing excessive play (another one I did....)
NSF and NSR anti roll bar linkage excessive play in ball joint. What is the best way to replace these? I've never done one before...not even sure what I have to order...
NSF & OSF corrosion on body mountings - this is on the outrigger section underneath the footwell. One side is obvious but the other looks fine to me. Also looks like a fecker to weld.....

Usual advisories list...apparantely my boot floor has been weld repaired! Well I never!!!

I think with the roll bar, if you take it off and grind all the signs that there was ever plates that hold a roll bar it will pass the mot.

Plus, with no roll bar you have more axle travel...

Retest tomorrow.

Replaces all the anti roll bar links - 10 minute job and £7.30 per connecting link.
Tightenend up all the wheel bearings - they were pretty loose to be fair - cost nothing.
Cleaned rear disk - bit of thinners, no cost
2 bastard days of welding, had to buy a coupel tiny cans of gas (about £34 with the paint i got too and a new bottle valve as mine was faulty).
Have a look at this mess! (it ain't pretty but it's functional...)

Cheers mate, the welding wasn't too pretty but there's a tonne of new metal there now so should be good for a little while now!

Yeah I'm planning on it, will get my big tyres on tomorrow night if it passes and then I'm all set.
