Hello,

Does an 'A-Bar' with spotlights, side steps, an induction kit and a set of four black steel wheels count as a modification when I am insuring my 90?

Thanks in advance for any help!

ring them up and let them know.

you will probably find the A bar, side steps and rims only affect your excess, and the induction kit bumps the premium up slightly (as its a performance mod). depends how savvy your ins company is though.

i have no idea, im not stupid enough to spend my money getting one...

but the point in makin is that they claim it adds power (5bhp or 20bhp for a v8, accordin to an advert for scorpion racin i got in front of me) which is enough reason for it to bump up your premium

ah twas aimed at pos was that question - i'd not beleive anything from scorpion (or scrapiron as they are known) they have a very bad reputation for selling inferior copies of popular items - the x-eng transmission brake being one example

So any how I doubt if an insurance company would say you weren't insured just cos you dint tell them you had some spotlamps fitted, they may say you couldn't claim for new spots if they got damaged in an accident. But you might as well tell em anyhow just incase.
