middle section silencer on petrol

Whacked my middle silencer off roading the other day and it's got a bit of a dint in the underside. After searching the net i discovered u can get a diesel pipe without the middle silencer...

which i though might be good for performance / noise lol.

Does the pipe that goes from the cat to the silencer on the diesel fit straight onto the petrol cat? i.e. same diameter, shape, bolt holes etc?

For the sake of £30 it would be interesting to see what the 1.8k is like without a center silencer. Would also add clearance under my girl for off roading as well.

Everyone elses thoughts?

Not sure if the diesel section is the same, call into your exhaust centre and compare them.

Have you a de-cat pipe?
Years back, I ran an old school mini 1293cc with straight through pipe and CB40 back box

i've still got my cat, as my MOT is due in june. Basically at the moment everything up until just after the middle box is standard, apart from a SS Magnaflow back box, some SS pipes and a SS cat. It's literallyjust the middle box thats lacking now, so wouldn't mind getting rid of it altogether. I'll call round a few places today and see if they can tell me any difference.
