If a member asks for help and his location states Southend on Sea, which is about 7 miles away from me, I would offer a helping hand if I could, if their location is Edinburgh I won't bother to offer... it not rocket scenice..

If I'm on my way to my cousin's in the south of france, Datatec is on the way (sort of) and theres another member down that way as well, who might be able to help, if nothing else they might know of a garage/spares parts availibility...

I would agree completely. Some members have Faultmate extreme or Hawkeye equipment and/or knowledge of these cars and are willing to lend a hand or clear faults.

Its also not rocket science for peeps who would like local help to say where they are, dont mean they have to have there location on constant display........I'm not really disagreeing with you but its personal choice.

My location is Glos because thats the area I'm likely to go to help someone out......unless the cake is REALLY good

No but hopefully it was spotted as a joke. One of my ancestors was lord something or other but the family seems to have slipped down the pecking order since then.

I moderate on a very large car forum so I am used to pedantic pricks roflol
but my replies have to be prim and proper
The rules on this site I moderate are seriously extensive to a level where you'd be infracted for correcting a members spelling or grammar
Can a moderator correct the title purely for the search engines
as regards having the mickey taken out of me I am fine with that
