Happernd yesterday both m and s lights flashing i can select p.r.n.d no 123 veryslugish .i assumed the xyz switch in the box as also red light on the drive poiston was flashing too..
Why are these things so expensive as theres buggar all to them.
Decided to open it up fix it and refit .running great again ...d2 glad i dont have to go to a garage ..id be in det my now ...

can you email me and explain what u did thanks
ill explain , helpful for others if the switch is a fault , simpley , pop gearstick in park , remove the 13mm nut , then theres 2x 10mm short bolts back ones a little tricky , once removed , (id heard a aircon pipe causes fault yet , theres no pipe anywere near mine ) after removed ull see a multi plug socket feel around there 2 push in type clips , then it should part , again a bit tricky ,,
after removed ull see the small alloy rivits around the switch simpley leave it face down and drill them out with a slightly bigger drill bit (will get size if needed ) , carefull lift the top plastic half off , and ull see the base which mine had worn I used a gas soldering iron and solder/flux , (don't keep heat on otherwise ull melt it ) , for the top ull have fine copper fins , with small squares on the ends that rub onto the curcit , mine were ok , just cleaned then re greased the lot and used pop rivits to reseal it , when re fiting it , and aligned , before starting with ignition make sure u see the selected red lights on the gear selector ie p/r/n/d/3/2/1 if u have to fiddle with gearstick , ull have to move the xyz unit via the 2 bolts , once they all light up , should work fine with no m and s lights and d led flashing , (also vechical wouldn't drive was very slow and wouldn't select 3.2.1 lower gears ,,, hope it helps, ps if ur coper contacts have worn u can use old motor bushers ;)
