Anyone got any smart ideas about dealing with this?

You can see ive given it a fair whacking (after days of GT85) and still no rotation.

Currently wondering about TIG'ing some box across the top of it and levering it around that way. Normally the heat from the weld breaks the corrosion bond anyway.

But, yeah, any other suggestions? I need the alloy casting and the bearing etc, but not the drive or its little housing.

Thank you.

Centre punch & knock it round. They are only pushed in & have an O ring holding in place.

If this don’t work looks like you will have to take the rear of the transfer box to push out

Thank you. Ive kind of tried that though : (

From the photos ive looked at, even if you split the alloy casting, you cant really get access to the back of the thing to get it out.
The damage to the top of it that you can see in my photo is me trying to whack it (rotate it) with a chisel.

Here is another one ive done, but that one came out fairly easy in comparison. And, no, i cant just swap the castings, as the one that came out of is a mess inside.

I did wedge long nose pliers into the worm drive & pulled the last 1 out.
& before re inserting took a bit off the metal edges as the horse shoe bracket Holds it in place
