Only bit on her at the mo that is really getting me is rust at bottom of both doors on nearside.
Sure someone told me once that a patch panel, in chequer plate, could be sourced and rivited over lower few inches of door to basically cover it up, saving fill, sand paint and repeat every couple of years!
Can I find such a thing?
If anyone out there aware of such things please let me know where I can find them!

Ta,

Dick Snow.

Just replace the doors. It's very unusual for the doors to rust, so presumably they've been badly repaired at some point. Doors are cheap and plentiful, so you don't need to waste money on crappy chequer plate. ;)

If you just rivet ali checker plate over rotten steel it will rust even quicker, the door skins will still rot behind the checker plate. As Nodge says just replace the doors, there are plenty of breaker cars out there.

Thanks, just did a flea bay search, they're out there and affordable!
Just the painting is the bit I can't do!
VW made the "harlequin" Polo, should I go the same look on me FL!
