Lost all Drive (Help Please)

Hi All,
I hope one of you can help me with this, I had just pulled away from a junction went from 2nd gear to third then the engine just revved and I had no drive in any gear including high or low range.
Has any one got any idea what could be up.

could be a half shaft or cv joint.

try it in diff lock to see if you can go anywhere

Got anywhere with this fox? As James suggests, first thing is to check if you can move with diff lock on.

With no diff lock, if something's wrong in one of the axles I think the attached prop shaft will turn when in gear but you won't move. That's why you need diff lock, it will make both props turn at the same speed.
If you can't move in diff lock then something before the props is busted (clutch, gearbox, transfer box etc).

I'm sure somebody will correct me if any of this is bollocks...

Hi All,
I have now got her back, it turned out to be the clutch the center had pulled through caused a little bit of damage I was quite happy with the out come as it could have killed the Gear box in the end it cost me £490 so not the end of the world.

what did you get for £490? can't be just a new clutch?

No it was not just the clutch & Clutch fork, I had a few other jobs done but the clutch was £350 including labor+vat.
From how the clutch feels now to when I first got her 18 months ago I think it has not been right from day one.
