Hello I have a discovery 2 auto which has lost all drive and reverse and that thought maybe blocked filter as have no lights flashing on dash it lost it all of a sudden after driving home from work I have done a gear box oil and filter since it broke thinking that maybe a issue but still nothin

Check that the Hi-Lo ratio lever is still actually in Hi!

This happened to me driving mine home just after I bought it. It just jumped into neutral.
Has never done it again.

I'd called recovery before I realised. Luckily they claimed they couldn't find me!
This is assuming the engine still runs.

All propshafts intact? With one wheel off the floor does the wheel turn freely? Handbrake off, chocked on at least one other wheel.

It would help a bit if you could tell us whether or not your Disco has centre difflock, i.e , operable by engaging under the vehicle. not there at all or there and operable from inside the cab.
The Model year would help on this.

I'm trying to narrow down whether the problem is in the transfer box, in the gearbox to transfer box drive, in the gear box or in the toque converter/ pump.
Hopefully others will jump on with other ideas.

the exterior control shaft that passes through the XYZ switch and shift controller via the cable will allow manual shifts to R and D, 3,2, 1. This will give you a forward gears and reverse.
I suspect you have a mechanical problem.

Take the small inspection plate off of the bottom of the bell housing and have a look at the flexplate, they can fail in a variety of ways, which will cause your issue.
