Loss of power

Female owner looking for any pointers before l take the car to the garage, in the hope that l don’t get ripped off!!

I have a Freelander 2 Sport 10 plate. Bought privately 18 months ago with full service history, after 20 years of driving a company car.

On acceleration through the gears car has started to lose power for a second or two, like it’s holding back, once up to 50/60 seems fine.

Any ideas anyone?

Manwell or auto gearbox?
Wots the mileage?

Manual gearbox
Mileage 125000

Could it be something to to with a drop in fuel supply?

Cheap and easy fix is to replace fuel filter as they can clog with diesel bug.

Other thing to check is the throttle body - what does it start and shutdown like?

Or it could be the EGR sticking or any number of other things.

Best advice is to get an in depth diagnosis done at a specialist looking at real time readings to determine what is not working as expected.
