Okay for some time my 2006 Freelander 1 TD4 has been loosing power when warm and also in any hot weather that we get (now and again).
Anyway so far I have changed the mass air flow sensor the fuel pump was said to be a suspect so that was changed. Problem still there, the air temperature sensor was changed and then that lead onto the manifold pressure sensor so I changed that. Still had the problem so decided to carry on and replace the sensor. Anyway after a long struggle removing the bottom tray I eventually got to the sensor I managed to lose it off and just removed the vacuum pipes when I discovered the sensor wire had no insulation left on both wires, in fact the one wire snapped when I removed the plug. Can these wires be purchased and who sells them.

All the sensor wiring is part of the main engine harness, so not available separately.
You'll have to repair what you have, by grafting on an additional length of wire.

Cheers, I have looked around but nothing is available. I will repair and put a shrink around it.
That's perfectly acceptable, I repaired the MAF wiring on my FL2 in the same way. If it's that sensor is boosted air temp sensor, then it's not particularly important to the ECM anyway, and most people wouldn't even notice if it's not working.
