On way home tonight came across a D reg. 2.5 TD 90 that had lost drive, tryed both hi & lo on transfer box, felt like ratio's were engaging, tryed all gears on gearbox, all felt ok, clutch felt normal, no nasty noises, but would not move, turned out owner, who has not had the 90 long, (and his 2 boys) lived near me so towed him home, wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be, have done a search came up with possible clutch problem, but everthing 'felt' ok when selecting gears/ratios etc, did not try locking center diff to see if that made any diference. Any ideas?
Thanks

or ya could have just moved that little stick over and he could have drove home:doh:

Poss just as well I towed him as half way there the engine stopped and would not restart, I idn't realsie but he had to go round at least one roundabout with no servo brakes, and if D reg 90's have power steering then he lost that as well!

Rob Anybody - I very much appreciated your help in trying to get to the route of the problem/towing me and the kids home. As for locking the diff, it was tighter than a politician buying a round so, who knows what monsters lurk there.
