:Cry::Cry:Well finally done it sold my Rangie yesterday:):) looking at a series 3 109 diesel today, will post pic's as soon as I've got her home.
Two questions 1 she doesn't have a butterfly valve on the front of the inlet manifold (2.25NA Diesel)as with previous diesels I have had, does this denote a different engine or was it a later upgrade((Block colour is Duck egg blue)as before will post pic's when she is home))
2 She does not have any outside windscreen pivots (just two bolts either side under the screen where they should be), I cant tell at the moment whether this is because of a complete repair to the top of the bulkhead (using later parts) or a 90/110 bulkhead replacement with the pivots removed (again pic's will follow).
Any thoughts:eek::eek:

Mines an 80 and has outside hinges as well. The butterfly valve may have been removed and an alternative pump/alternator with pump to produce the vacuum?

As far as I am aware, the blue duck egg colour engines are reconditioned MOD units. I have an ex military Ser2a rolling chassis with such an engine. Another way to tell if its ex MOD is if they have the swivel joints covers on the front axle but you can buy after market covers. Also I restored an ex RAF lightweight and it had the blue engine and swivel covers.

duck egg blue was the colour 3brg blocks were painted 5brg been red ,defenders had hinges and later a solid bar but holes in same place, has it got servo for brakes cos if it hasnt wouldnt need butterfly

:):)Hear are pic's as promised there is an extra pump just below the alternator which is piped in to the brake servo I gather this would be to create a vacuum for the brake servo also the heater plugs are wired into what looks like a starter motor solenoid.
Both door tops are shot so they will knead replacing but the bulkhead and chassis are near enough perfect.:D:D

body looks good which is the hardest part to fix any thing else can either be bolted or welded ,it be bloody good when you sort bits out
