Been playing with a friends 90 which has a leaking rear axle seal oil coming out over the disc and into the hub.

Didn't think much of it then remembered we had done the rear stub axles and seals 2 years ago. Both bearings had gone and the stub axle seal mounting areas had rusted out on the old stubs.

Anyway went to pull the offending shaft and strip off the hub and had to beat the shaft out as it wouldn't pass cleanly through the stub axle.

My other mate said that when a bearing fails it can damage the machined area on the shaft which causes the problem is this right?

The shaft on this has the drive member permanently attached are these still available or is it only the shaft with seperate drive member and circlip arrangement. wheres best to buy from paddocks??

well i think i need a new shaft at any rate and new seals too.

cheers
