I went and had a look at a 3 door tonight. I don't think I've ever really seen 1 up close before - at least for a long time anyway - don't see many over here.

I thought it looked really good - much better than they do in pictures - the proportions of it looks good.

Its a '98 K Series 50th Anniversary model with HGF and an auction start price of £1,200.

Nice looking motor. So long as heads are available for not too much dosh (worst case) it should be an easy fix for a man of your skills.

.
The 'proportions' is the key - it's what impressed me when I saw a yellow one with the back off in a car park along with colour. I think yellow is ace but it might be overbearing after a while; red is superb. It was because of the Yellow one and words of wisdom from Nodge that I went looking but I confess I was looking at Vitaras too.
What the Kalahari really needs though is a fastback hardtop and is something I have not seen.................. like on this Jimny

Neat boot cover for the 3-door there - someone should make something similar for the Hippo! :)

That green 3-door looks very similar to mine. Hope the head hasn't been toasted and abused as the one on Kilo-Hippo-Delta!!!

I'm sure that a company like Honeyborne could do something rather beater in finish.

The ideal for me would be something you could also stow in the boot... :)

Hello guys.
I have my freelander for Sale.....i have enought troubles whit the car,but i'm not givingnup
I want to bye a 5 door Freelander because before i bye mine i was thinking the cabrio will be so match great, but im not feeling that.....so i want anouther project. A 5 door freelander for off roading and maybe one day go to Marocco.
In relyability witch is better, the TD4 or the Di/TCIE......engine that some say its a Perkins.

Alibro and Helijonh....thank you.
Thats what i was thinking.....even the injector pump is mechanic in the Di,something that the Td4 dosen't have.
But,i love the Automatic gearbox,so will be a big dilema.....
