Right, as promised after the Top Gear Project Mobility episode I have opened a webpage where members can make a donation that will be passed on as one large (hopefully) Landyzone show of support.

Now, I shall aim to keep this post near the top of the page for as long as possible, maybe it can be made a sticky? Otherwise i'll keep everyone updated regularly.

Obviously its anonymous who gives what but feel free to comment as we go along.

Here's the details.

Lets give what we can and help these lads and lasses achieve something very special!

Hi Storm99. An admirable effort and I'm fully behind it, but, you may want to check your not breaking some law or other here. We used to collect for charity on our annual works **** up/fancy dress pub crawl an ended up having to stop because of the amount of paperwork involved and the risk of breeching too many regualtions! Tis the screwed up world we live in unfortunately, but, I'd hate to see you get done trying to do a good deed!

Could someone enlighten me to what this fund is going to? is it a LZ group donation to something?

Reason I ask is myself and ratty have discussed a "welfare fund" as a get out an established member out the **** fund and the consensus was an ad-hock whip round.

Yes Fanny..its to 'Project Mobility' which helps ex service people that have lost limbs. It was on top gear and provoked quite a reaction..i offered to open an account to do a group donation and received a lot of backing.

Cracking idea but like Stuballsed said, I think as an individual, Storm99, you might fall foul of the system...

Perhaps another way is to set up a Landyzone fundraising page on charitygiving.co.uk, a bit like these folk Charity Giving - Charity Fundraisers

That way, folk on here could make a donation through a Landyzone fundraiser... through a charity website that copes with all the official stuff and the project mobility charity would get the benefit of the gift aid too.:D:D

Need to dig into it a bit more to see if we can set it up as a forum group or if it needs to be an individual.....

Just an idea anyhow....

Right..i'm on the site now trying to set this up so that i don't encounter any probs...will update as soon as i've filled it all in...

All Done.

MHM i think the consensuses was that it would be nice for the lads to see a large donation from a Land Rover Enthusiast site. To show that the LR community is behind them and supporting them all the way. I know it adds yet another way of donating to them.
But surly the more ways they can raise money the better....
