I was thinkin wot do you think about a map of the UK that shows where every one lives to the nearest town? That way at a glance, new members can easily see who is closest to them, and who could offer a helpin hand. You could even put recommended off road pay and play days and greenlanes.
Just an idea,

Code:
how to get yourself on the map:

to who has a google account, when you click the link (and you are signed in), there should be a tab on the left of the map.
click where it says [b]MyMaps[/b]
there should be a map named [b]LANDYZONE[/b] click that
now there should be a button that says [b]Edit[/b] - when you click it, it allows to change the name and description of the map, dont do that.
[U]If you notice, now on the top left of the map[/U] there's 3 buttons that allow you to add a marker or route..

and here's the link
[url=http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=102960476062922115895.0004719463ac4dc20f4b4&ll=51.595842,-2.570801&spn=0.351475,0.770416&z=10]LANDYZONE - Google Maps[/url]

I wasn't saying put your postcode in there.............but a town name is a lot more useful than "The Earth" or "in front of the TV" :D

I dont mean your actual address, just your town or maybe the nearest city. It was just a thought anyway.

I use the same kind of thing but on a bike forum…its quite usefull to know where other members are and local bikers caffe or good shops.

Actually, its not difficult to do..you can do it in google maps.
I have a map setup in google maps where I have all (the ones I've been anyway) the local play areas and good byways in Salisbury plains.
