Hi all..

just wondering how everyone seems to know what part numbers refer to each part...?

For my bikes I have downloaded a parts microfiche, which shows every single nut and bolt, assembly and part numbers.
So when I need something just look at the bit I need and order it...

But is there such thing available for the Disco?

I have the Rave CD, but to it doesnt show such things, all it has is how to dismantle and assemble parts....not much to be honest when compared to the bike manuals I have..

cheers
JP

You can buy parts books, and the Heritage Centre have a selection of discs with the parts books on them.
If you don't want to pay, I expect someone here will come up with a down load.
Just remember that part numbers are constantly changing, even for older vehicles. The Series One fan belt changed in the early 90s, over 30 years after they went out of production.

gav will havea look at it this evening when Im home, thanks.

Hope its what I'm expecting.... the microfiche makes things so easy...
Last weekend while helping a mate taking the boot floor out we had to grind the bolts holding the seat belts....
but then.. who would know the name of the bracket on the other side??

now i know it's an anchorage bracket..but took some time to find that out..!

its a bit trickier to get running than you are expecting, but maybe some of the fellas on her will help you. me personally, i just ring paddocks or dls and they send me the part i need based on my gobbledegook discription!
