Has everyone seen the LRX then? Apparently LR will def be manufacturing it and we should see it out in 2010! I hope they keep the styling the same. What does everyone else think? I may have to speak nicely to the bank manager next year!:)

Why is this in the freelander section? We don't know if it is going to be as bad as the freelander at the moment do we??

Because apparently this is going to be the freelander version of the RR sport. hence in the freelander section. Makes a change to talk about something other than bloody faults...

tis even gayer than the gaylander.

Got to agree, totally impractical pile of crap.

Might suit single posers with no kids and never have to carry anything.

Don't fancy having to lift my tool chest over that drop down tailgate!

Seconded....looks an ugly bastid...an that rear end....:eek::eek:.
makes me gaylander look totally .........bootiful ;)...

LRX = epic failure

I'm a big fan of Jerry McGoverns early car designs such as the FL1, MGF, great looking cars but he's clearly lost the plot since becoming head of LR design team.

LRX to start at £25k..............I mean seriously, please :rolleyes:

Plus LR are trying to market the hybrid version 120g CO2 as green, since when was permanent 4wd doing 70mph on the motorway eco friendly?

To the OP'er, RR sport!???? Do me a favour.

I don't refer to the FL as a gaylander, but if there is one LR model gayer than the FL that's the RR sport. All mouth and no trousers, next time look at the 2ft gap between front bumper and the rad.....bit of a facade.

Not to mention it's not a proper RR, and it looks as ugly as sin

The RRS is a road-biased Discovery 3 with a different body shell. OK, it looks chavvy but that is who it is aimed at.

It has the same feature as all the other models, i.e. it looks striking from every angle ecxept the rear, which was given to the YTS trainee to design.

However, they are awesome off road, if you remove the front bumper. If you don't remove the front bumper, don't worry, the ground will.

The LRX is basically a road biased version of the Freelander 2. I like the look of it and if I had £25k lying around we might replace our TD4 with one, as we have the 90 for offroading and need an economical 4x4 for my wife's business. Somehow I think the TD4 will be with us for years yet, though.

Cheers

Blippie
