L322 Inner tie rods

MOT time is looming once again. The old girl went through last with advisory on inner track rod play, so I want to replace before having the tracking set, probably only covered 500 miles if that between tests with "lockdowns" but needs doing.
Can anyone tell me the diameter of the Inner tie rod nut thingy? I no peeps have posted...
"I have bought kit but too small" and "I used a large wrench... simples!" but no one has given the size... do I just order one and hope I have something large enough? I wondered about a chain oil filter tool as the connector is hand tight? Plumbers grips/wrench? Most large adjustable spanners I have seen on fleebay only go up to 32" and the thingy... locky... thready thing is larger!
Are the rods interchangeable between left and right as I might as well do both sides?

Pipe wrench seems the most popular tool of choice, will have to have a look out for one.

Big big adjustable.
Inners and outers are the same for left or right.
Get a decent brand like meyle or lemforder.
I got britparts finest rubbish since i wanted an alignment done at mot time and they was the quickest to post and they lasted 5k miles

Have ordered the parts, see what I need to fit them when they arrive. Can't be bothered to crawl under the car to see at the moment, got to the age where I only want to do stuff the once!
