As they say hindsight is a wonderful thing, and knowledge is king. I replaced my TC and to be honest it wasn't that difficult being I have a free use of a pit. Update, everything was fine, drove beautifully, till the gears started to jump when cold then lost lockup slowing down. After a quick check found gb oil low, 2litres low to be honest.found a leak comming from inspection hole in bell housing. Nobody even suggested changing the oil pump seal while the TC was out and I didn't think too. So I put back the 2 ltrs and thankfully no damage has been done.
My question to all you experts is can I change the seal from the outside when I've dropped the box or must I send it away?.
