Hi there,

I keep hearing a knocking noise when I'm driving from the passenger side front wheel (i think). I had it in a garage and they kept it over night, unfortunately they did nothing with it and advise they can not diagnose until they have taken a look at it. Anyone got any suggestions what it might be. It has become lounder in the past week.

Is it a speed related knocking? Might be constant velocity joint... mine went late last year and weren't too expensive to replace (I had all 4 done).

Try and explain when it is that it's knocking. Over potholes it's most likely to be your ball joint on the suspension arm.

Also like MHM said, it could be your drop links that attach to your anti roll bar. Take the wheel off and give these a bit of a shake, any movement and the joints have gone in them.

Also make sure your anti roll bar is central as it can knock on the strut when the rubber bump stops finally deteriorate and come off the bar.

Hi I'm new on here ,
I've got a problem on a freelander 1'8
Lol
It's a knocking noise coming from the n/s front
But I've looked and the front strut looks closer to tyre on the n/s than the o/s
Could it be strut bearing ,
Or the strut bent or anything else:mad::mad:
