My battery went flat and now the car won't accept my EKA code.
I have used the code before without issue. I have also noticed the central locking isn't working either with the key or when pressing down the door buttons. This was fine prior to the battery going flat.
I have all the doors closed and unlocked when trying the EKA. I have fully charged the battery which was new in December. I have also tried connecting the battery with key in ignition at position 2 with no joy.

Any ideas much appreciated as I'm starting to get that ****ed off feeling.

AAAHHHHH!!

Many Thanks, Don1.

Sounds like the key is out of sync; try sitting in car and locking with sill button, if C/L then works, key sync for sure!
Without key in sync EKA won't work!

Does anyone know if I disconnect the alarm sounder will the EKA procedure still work.
The noise is driving the neighbours and me crazy while I keep trying.
Iv'e tried stuffing a rag over it but still "LOUD".

Thanks J
Ok that will keep the noise police at bay, any suggestions on what to try next to remove the keycode lockout. As I have used the EKA code before I don't understand why it won't work now.

Just a thought to check the ignition switch, sometimes the little latch that works the key in and out switch sticks, if the dash says ignition key in when the key is removed and your battery keeps going flat then it could be that and that also upsets the locking?

Dont use any lube as that makes them stick worse, a blow with an airline usually works best as its possabily fluff on the key getting into the wwitch...

The alarm sounder or BBUS MUST be connected for the EKA to work,as all the panels must be closed for it to work.
You cannot enter the EKA till the keycode lockout message has gone.
The EKA must be done first to disarm the BECM before you can re-synch the key.

couple of things to try first try using the sill button with the drivers door open second when the alarm goes of make sure that the front doors are both locked then use the fob there are so many anomalies with this fooking alarm mine went of the other night and would not cancel but that was because the passenger door was not locked in the first place as soon as I locked it with the sill button the alarm stopped on the fob worth a try

Thanks eightinavee ,
I have been connecting the battery, closing the bonnet, all doors closed but unlocked then trying the EKA. I will try it tomorrow watching the display through the window. Maybe the keycode lockout was still displayed when I was entering the code, I didn't check and I will leave the sounder connected. Bugger the neighbours.
I do wonder if there is another problem as the central locking has stopped working.

Cheers Sandyt,
I will try the these tomorrow. Could we not just shoot car theives and lose all this security nonsense. Life would be so much easier.
