When I first got my Land rover I saided to myself I'll be doing as much as I can on the repairs & maintance.
So after I lifted my 90, mine was one of those that needed a bit more than just lifting
.
I was getting load's of vibration at about 55mph. So after a bit of seaching I found this web site.
http://www.d-90.com/tech/cv1.html
I know you can use a D2 front prop as well but I like to be awkward.
I then found a double cardan off a 110 salibury axle on eblag for £80.00.
FRC9762 & the bloke is still selling them at the moment.
I then got one of the boys in the machineshop at work to turn me up a spacer to fit to the transfer box (mine is on the front & not the back like in the web site).
I also had to make a spacer for the diff end as mine was a TD.
The TD needs to be a lot longer (685mm) than a 300tdi or TD5.
I think you might be able to get away with the length on a 300 or TD5, as I think they are about 600mm, but don't take my word for it.
I've just been out for a test drive & no more vibration
